My child
is
afraid
of Santa
Claus,
what
should I
do?
- Family photos can be
an optional choice charming. Parents might try to sit in the photo with
the child.
-
Divert your child's attention with a favorite toy.
-
Do not let them see Santa while in line. Then, when it is your turn,
back your child slowly onto Santa's lap.
-
Visit Santa after your child is well
rested, fed, and clean.
- Visit Santa during a slower time, such
as weekdays. Sometimes multiple visits can help to build the trust and
courage!
-
Remember to remove a screaming or kicking child from Santa's lap quickly
to avoid injury to either your child or Santa.
-
If they are upset…you are not likely to change their minds.
-
Always praise their effort... no matter what
Are
there
any
helpful
hints
about
visiting
Santa?
Of course! Here are hints about visiting Santa:
- The first ten seconds of your child's visit
with Santa present the best photo
opportunity. Santa will begin his visit
once the photo has been taken.
-
Candid photos capture the best
memories. Remember that infants and
toddlers do not always smile naturally
on demand.
- To ensure their safety, parents should place infants up to 6 months old on
Santa's lap. Please check for good posture, straighten the infant's outfit, and
be certain that Santa has a good grasp on the baby before stepping away.
- We encourage parents who would like to use their own camera equipment to do so
from outside the parameters of the set.
- Santa welcomes visitors! You are not required to purchase a photo to have a
visit.
